T-bolts are actually a big family. What is a T-bolt?
T-bolts literally mean bolts shaped like a capital letter "T", hence the catchy name. Since T-bolts (some also called T-type screws or T-shaped screws) are a big family, there must be many descendants! I often encounter a lot of inquiries about T-bolts at work, and the problems are all kinds of strange. As a senior T-Bolt manufacturing expert, today I will introduce to you the main classifications and related channels of T-bolts:
1. Classification by use
1.1 T-bolts for Hafen channel steel, the most commonly used are 45# steel, forged, quenched and tempered; there are also low carbon steel, more useful alloy steel, stainless steel 304 and 316; choose the material and mechanical performance grade according to actual needs. Surface treatments include chemical blackening, electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, Dacromet, mechanical galvanizing followed by Dacromet plating, etc.
1.2 T-bolts for aluminum alloy profiles are also called hammer head bolts and are made of SUS304 stainless steel and medium carbon steel. The material is 1045 medium carbon steel, produced using red satin technology. After heat treatment, the grade is 8.8. Generally, they are mold pressure plate bolts. T-shaped screws can be placed directly into the groove and can be automatically positioned and locked during installation. Used in conjunction with flange nuts, it is the standard connecting fastener when installing corner fittings. Select T-bolts according to the profile groove width.

1.5 T-bolts are used for construction fasteners, mainly for locking and fixing construction scaffolding. They are mainly produced in mild steel and are generally matched with flange nuts. The most commonly used ones are M12, M14, American standard UNC1/2-13 and British standard BSW1/2-12.
2. According to standard models:
2.1 National standard GB37-88 T-slot bolts. This standard specifies Class B T-slot bolts with thread specifications M5-M48. The national standard stipulates that for specifications with a diameter less than or equal to M39, the mechanical performance level is generally 8.8. For diameters greater than M39, the mechanical performance level is generally negotiated with the customer; the standard stipulates: "Due to structural reasons, bolts for T-shaped slots are not subject to wedge loading. and head-rod joint strength test”. This standard has 12 specifications: M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16, M20, M24, M30, M36, M42, M48, with a minimum length of 25 and a maximum of 300.
Surface treatment is mainly chemical blackening and galvanized passivation.
